Bae nodded her head and smiled. "Okay. Hey, can we ride on the merry-go-round too?" She asked him softly and then began to get up and held out her hand to him.

He smiled and took her hands. "Okay. But don't run off without me again, okay?"
Bae nodded her head and then began to smile. "Okay Daddy. Also, why is the girl so skinny?" She asked and then started to walk back in with Jim. "What kind of clothes are we going to get her?"
Jim held her hand tightly. "She must have had a rough time. Let's get her some basics, but... also something pretty. Maybe it'll cheer her up."
Bae nodded her head and smiled. "Okay." She said and then whined a little at him. "Too tight....." She said talking about her hand. "Is that why her voice is weird too?"
"Sorry baby," Jim said, loosening his hand but still holding hers. "I suppose so, yes. But remember what I said about words like 'weird'?"
Bae frowned a little and looked at him. "But it is weird." She said with a sigh. "But you said not to say that." She said and looked as they started to head into a woman's outfit store. "So we gotta buy her some underwear and some shirts. Some dresses. Some shorts."
"Some sweaters, too. I think I can guess her size. Do you want to pick out some things that you think she'd like?"
Bae looked at him and smiled a little. "I can get her something pretty. Like some shoes!" She said and then almost pulled her hand away before she remembered what happened the last time.
Jim felt her hand slip a little and used his other hand to gently grab her shoulder. When he realised she wasn't going to run, he smiled with relief and bent down to kiss her head. "...We'll walk to the shoes. Together."
