Happy To Still Be Here

Hey. Today is my 24th birthday. I joined this server back in 2013, brought here by a dear friend. I hadn't thought about this forum in a long time until I got the email wishing me a happy birthday, and I decided I'd try making my presence known again.

On December 31, 2021 at around 11:30 AM, I was heading to work on a snowy highway when the vehicle lost traction and we slid through all the lanes to the other end of the road, and then back to the middle, where we got t-boned by a semi-truck. I nearly lost my own life and the life of my best friend that day, but I'm still alive. It feels right to reach back out to this old server that part of me still considers home. Most of my friends are gone from here now, but I'm excited to meet new members and try re-learning the writing skills I gained when I was first active here.

In short, I'm happy to be alive, and still have this happy, perfect corner of the internet when I need it.

Happy Birthday, Icedream!
I know the feeling of having a small corner of the internet feel like home. For the purpose that my internet home shut down in 2020, I began searching for a new one and found this site. I guess, truthfully, I've been searching for long-term connections like the few I've had on my last roleplaying site. I hope places like these thrive for the sake of some good old-fashioned rp connections.
The feeling of being in a crash like that is traumatic. I've been in a similar crash but thank goodness everyone was alright. I know it takes a long while to recover so I hope you and your friend are healing well physically and emotionally.
I hope we find the joy and comfort we are searching for!
