That seems a very reasonable assessment, I would be inclined to agree.
Though, the thought of alien bathrooms brings up a whole host of questions that I should not a ask.

The 'hazard' colors is also interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if a race that saw outside of our viable spectrum had warning colors, vibrant to them, but invisible to humans.

I do a bit of everything, but I'm always down for a good horror or high fantasy plot

The Hamee use ultraviolet as a warning. To humans it’s a dark purple-ish color, but to Hamee it’s very bright and vibrant.

If it's too far out there, we could have a problem coming to a consensus.

    Just some clarification!

Default team IFF's (Identify Friend/Foe) for the easy of identifying everyone until all the call signs come about.

    Enigma - Bat - Dagger 2

    Fox - # - Dagger 1

    Yggdrasil_Hugger - # -Dagger 3

    AngelDellaNotte - # - Dagger 4

Kach - Boss - Dagger Actual

For referencing direction in reference to something, we will use a clock dial so 1200, 0100, 0200 etc with 12 being direct front, and high or low do indicate below or above. So 03.01 would be almost beside you on the right.

The two options in the spoiler aren't your only options, feel free to try and come up with your own.

Ah that's different to how I was looking at it I was looking at the field from a grid square view. So 9x9 squares, each with their own 9 squares inside. So the 1st square inside the third square kind of thing. It's hard to write without actually drawing it

Thank you to Alice for making my sig and avi <3

Ah, I understand what you mean four figure grid references.
I don't know if I want to go that specific for locations and leave it more general in relation to eachother.

    You may reply at will.
I will try and combine replies when possible, and wait until everyone has posted, if possible, to avoid clutter.

I'm well versed in relative bearings, but I'm used to elevation and declination when it's above or below the system plane, which we'll call the horizon. So "2 o'clock plus 1" is something about 60 degrees starboard (on the right) ten degrees above the horizon, while "10 o'clock minus 3" is 60 degrees to port (on the left), 30 degrees below the horizon.

If I'm yelling "9 Above!" it means something is right on top of me.

Constant range and bearing means it's not moving closer or farther, just sorta staying in the same place.

Opening range and bearing means it's moving away from us.

Closing range and bearing means it's moving closer.

To be fair if the support ship is calling out something is on top of them in a firefight something's wrong
