    Default Under the Harvest Moon... [P]

    Under the Harvest Moon
    A Harvest Moon Romance
    Private Thread for @Sabes; and @MotherBunBun92;

    Spoiler: CHARACTERS

    Current Setting:
    Time: Midsummer, morning. around 6 am.
    Weather: light rain with grey skies and a delicate breeze.

    Cool summer rain swept out from light grey overcast through the village, clearing the air, yet muddying the earth. The villagers were nowhere to be seen, likely enjoying the ambiance from the comfort of their dry and cozy homes. This little village also seemed very cozy, tucked in between thick forests on all sides. With the town center being the least tree-laden, its stone walkway lead to the entrances to the main buildings nearby. The closest building to the center--well, the building was actually in the center--was the mayor's house. Considering the village was so small, his house was also a petit courthouse and business place of sorts, just big enough to get necessary things done. Not too far east of it was the common area: surrounded by the stone path and quaint street lamps, this area held the shop, the inn and bar, as well as the doctor and vet's building. The outside was decorated to look like a plaza, welcoming to everyone and perfect for the village get-togethers. It even had a billboard.
    West of the Mayor's house was a small subdivision of three closely neighboring houses. These ones were quite pretty with their own bright colors mingling with their neighbor's lawns and fences. One even had a child's bicycle that matched the wall color of the house.
    The stone path from the mayor's house branches off in other directions too, but mostly without much lighting. One heading northwest lead to a dirt path towards the train station and to that "new boy's" new farming plot. A path leading southeast from the center lead to a lake, which had its own dirt hiking path, and lead in the direction of another farm or two.

    A small bluebird washed itself in a puddle of water in an indent in the new boy's gutter. The sound of its fluttering woke the boy up...though not that he got much sleep with how loud and creaky the little shack was. Not to mention the roof leaking! With morning finally settling in, he rubbed his tired eyes and chose to finally welcome the day. "Well, I'm lucky to have this place here. I ought to enjoy it in its entirety!" With that, he got dressed in blue overalls and his bright orange shirt. Before opening the moaning front door, he slid his blue hat on over his dirty blonde and orangish hair. *Rrrrooooaaah* The sound of the front door opening scared the little bluebird away with alarmed tweeting. It flitted over the trees and in the direction of a neighboring fruit farm. "Good morning to you too," he said softly as the bird flew out of sight. "I wonder who you'll be meeting next, little one..."
