Name/Alias: Felix Harlock; Wandering Crimson
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Alignment: LG
Physical Description: Standing at about 6'2, Felix is a young human with white skin, blonde-orange hair and gold/black eyes. An odd coloration, he would have been mistaken for a diabolist had he not Iomedae's sigil on his arm pauldron. Gold and White has never been his thing, always gravitating towards blacks and reds mostly because white and gold sticks out basically everywhere.
Having to lug around his armor and heavy weapon plus whatever surplus gear he has at the time, he has developed notable phyisical strength. He bears a few scars from several previous battles. Though not visible unless you peel off his armored hide, they are noticeable when exposed, mostly adorning his arms and chest.
His wardrobe outside of armor is a rather casual affair. He doesn't dress formally given he is not being invited to meetings or parties, adopting shorts and t-shirt with sweaters and sandals. With his armor, he usually wears a thin skin suit with some insulation beneath the layers of armor.
Class: Soldier
Theme: Priest
Background story
Felix was born into one of the knightly orders sponsored by Iomedae; His father, a Knight and his mother one of their financial advisors and handlers so he grew up with a primarily religious education and background, not that he took any of it seriously until he got older. As a young child, he always seemed to slack off and not pay attention to detail, self-absorbed into his own world. He would prefer games and play fighting to that of learning and memorizing scripture.
It wasn't till he became a young adult and more distant from his childhood friends that he became a more serious and reserved person. While not as academic as the others, he was noted to be a talented if inexperienced fighter with some latent magical potency in his blood and could handle himself while being shot at or under pressure. His cool personality gave way to a stubborn resistance to refuse surrender when his back is against the wall and so was slated for more advanced warfighter training and indoctrination into the ranks of his fellow battle-brothers and sisters.
It wasn't till he was twenty that he experienced any real fighting, and it was against pirates at first. He helped neutralize a ship as part of a boarding party, but the raid uncovered a cargo hold filled with weapons, ammo and armor from Apostae enough to fund a small pirate gang for several cycles. The event was eventually covered up, with the Drow essentially claiming all the goods were stolen and paying the church a finder's fee for their return.
Felix decided it best if he found his own way as a wandering priest & mercenary after that, not that he begrudged the church or the inheritor for the result of the raid as the weapons were returned and lives most likely saved from the raiding that would have occurred. He felt a strong call for adventure that he felt could only be sated by seeing the rest of the galaxy and to ultimately figure out what he wanted to do with his own short life. His adventures going forward, at least to him, are about self-discovery. And maybe the occasional firefight or two.
Personality
Cool, serious and collected, Felix is someone who handles well under pressure. He may seem like a dark character that is rough around the edges at first, but is a genuinely good person. Honorable and chivalrous, he is liable to solve problems when asked to do so, not that he thinks too hard about the assignments given to him. He tries to keep an open mind about how others live, though finds it hard to find any toleration for raiders or amoral mercenaries who will kill anyone for a profit.
His rough spots show however in how stubborn he can be sometimes and his ability to nurse grudges. Not that he has very many and is likely to forget about bad experiences altogether. Not everyone is perfect, and he realizes these are still something he has to work on if he wants to figure out his place in life.
Things my character values
-Strength & Honor in battle. A true warrior does not harm the unarmed, the sick and the infirm or children. A soldier carries himself with propriety and dies with dignity for it is the only noble death one can find out in the vacuum of the vast.
-Integrity and commitment. Have the backbone to finish what you start. You are a grown adult, you can handle any problems that come your way and ask for help when you cant.
-Just and fair treatment. An old human saying: "Treat others as you want to be treated". While fighting and war can be inevitable, that doesn't make every person you come across an evil bastard that needs to be shot. Exercise wisdom and patience, before you start shooting people or threatening bodily harm.
