Hi!
Hmm. I'm sorry, I appear to have accidentally shouted my username in full caps, as if it is in some way important. Which it isn't. Not even to me, let alone anyone else. It feels a little rude.

I'd like to claim there was a lot of ambient noise and a sudden exposing drop of volume, but I should just be honest and say it was late in the night, there was beer involved and I just didn't notice at the moment of registering.

Did I read somewhere that an admin could change that for me?

In contrast to this blundering entrance, I was actually hoping to take just a few quiet steps through the door, inconspicuously have a look around, and try to build some confidence before announcing myself.

However, somewhere on the page, I have seen me loudly declaring my name as Newest Member and, embarrassed, felt that just in case anybody noticed, I should say something else...

"Hi, I'm Simon...erm, I'm quite unsure of myself in this new environment, and inexperienced in RP generally, but hopefully I'll soon find my way to engaging with this here marvellous thing, once I've oriented myself a bit more clearly and comfortably."

I'm usually a quiet person, not...y'know...LOUD, and apparently I'm quite awkward in this situation, which I didn't know until I started this introduction. First timer, see.

Anyway, sorry to bother you, and for babbling nervously, and thank you for all that you have provided on these pages.

I feel this might perhaps be something I can really take to, and hopefully nurture as a passion for years to come, but I don't yet know that much for sure.

Why is your username in yellow?

When will I be upgraded to a full member?
Typically it's about 10 contributing posts, but the quickest path is to simply be active, post and engage with the community. Whether that be in RPs or in our social sections. Go on, say hello!

What's the first thing you should do as a new member?
Take a quick read and familiarize yourself with the rules of our forum. I know, I know, rules already? These rules are straight forward and designed to protect all members of the RPA community. They're for your benefit, I promise!

How do you get to know members of the forum?
Easy! Take a spin through Downtown! This is our social hub, get to know folks through fun and silly games, or join in on a conversation.

Where can you go to talk about your hobbies and interests?

Haha, yes, I feel a bit daft over the shouty name thing and more so because that was a ridiculous way to introduce myself! I doubt it mattered much at all. Nevermind...nervousness I suppose, I'll try to keep that under wraps!

But yeah, I have no doubt you are a friendly bunch, having read around the site some.
...and Wow, there is so much to read, and to learn from (and this one has much to learn!)

I am a bit in awe, tbh; the quality and variety of storytelling is more than I had even really hoped for.

It's exciting, but I think it is gonna be a while before you see me contribute. Just so you know that. I do intend getting involved and at least trying to give back: I'm only faltering at finding my voice and figuring my way forward.

AND indeed, my nervousness is wholly of my own
making and not because you are all scary.

I dont know why, but my reply to your "take your time buddy..." post (yesterday?) hasn't appeared.
Said it had to be reviewed i think. May be because I tried to tag you and I'm a Noob..?

Anyway, I was basically saying "thanks and much appreciated!"
