    Default Philosophical questions about ethics!

If a college professor starts a romantic relationship with a college student that attends the same college even if said student doesn't have a class with that professor do you find that unethical or would you believe that is perfectly fine? What do all of you think about such a thing?

I would say it is unethical. What makes this slightly less gross is the fact that the student does not have a class with said professor. However, I still think there is too much of a risk with power dynamics, a Professor doesn't have to be your professor to screw you over if they wanted to. It's a person in an authority position with direct or indirect power over the student who has limited rights to begin with. A University will typically always protect their faculty over their students. So - not okay.

You post a valid point, I've never gone to college or University so I'm not aware of the dynamics but that makes sense.

Now then to pose another question regarding ethics!

If you are on a train tracks and it splits off onto two lines, one has two elderly people who are well versed in specific fields while on the other track there is a pair of kids who are still rather young and inexperienced in the world, if you had to run one pair over to spare the other as you are unable to stop the train which pair would you chose to save and for what reason? I know this may be a difficult chose as even I am not sure which I would choose in the moment!

I think moral questions like the trolley problem are quite silly. To answer a question is simply that. Even if it's hard or makes people uncomfortable. Morality is certainly subjective.

Thats true, you have any juicy ones to ask? I like brain teasers. Which is why I play games that require strategy and stuff 99% of my games are rpgs.
