Default The Book of Time (My Anything Thread)

I will put the lores to my RP's world, from Ochlion to Elderon. All from the time of its creation.

    Wings of Elderon

    Lore

    Creation of Elderon
The creation of Elderon began with the birth of the Titans, a race of god-like beings that shaped the world. There are 12 altogether, each had its own responsibility. One of them, was known as Maraval. Also known by the title, the Constructor of Worlds. Maraval first shaped the foundation of Elderon, he crafted the mountains and its hills just like the humans shaped a vase from clay. Then, Maraval continued to shape Elderon's moons, Secundus and Soranus. Maraval's fellow Titans, namely Tyramonde and Archanus filled Elderon's rocky foundation with lush green flora and the saphire oceans. However, the world's creation is not yet finished. Soon after, Tyramonde created Sithir, the first dragon in existence, known as the White Wing. Archanus soon filled the mortal world with animals, later its inhabitants, the humans races, elves and the mighty orcs.

Maralthir's Existence and the War of Fire

Maralthir soon arrived into Elderon after Sithir. The dragon saw the humans, elves and the orcs, he saw nothing but the right to exterminate them. He felt that Elderon is for the dragons, and he planned to raise an army of of his own brethren. Sithir realized this, and he bring a few dragons away from Veroth, the land of dragons to raise them in peace while Maralthir raise his dragon army. Approximately 200,000 years later, the War of Fire broke out as the dragons assaulted human kingdoms, elven empires and orcish settlements. Sithir then returned to the warring lands and dueled against Maralthir alone. Maralthir lost the duel and Sithir prevailed, to prevent Maralthir to wage another war against the world of Elderon, Sithir imprisoned Maralthir under the largest mountain in Elderon, the Shattered Peak.

    Continents

There are 4 major continents in Elderon, namely Draedor, Veroth, Akarian and Severon. The largest continent is Draedor, followed by Severon and Akarian, finally Veroth, the land of dragons. But before the four continents, there is just a huge piece of land. The land was then split up into four continents during an event known as the Shattering of Elderon.

    Birth of Necromancy

How necromancy came into Elderon? It all began in the year 1158, when a priest of the Cult of Death who worships Var'el, the god of Death started to use the god's powers of necromancy to usurp Va'rel's throne. The priest was named Garamond and he intended to kill the Titan, usurping his throne in the City of the Fallen. Garamond opened a World Rift to Var'El's city and resurrected the dead. With his army of living corpses, Garamond marches into the city but failed to slay the mighty Titan. Var'el banished Garamond into the Abyss where all damned souls shall live in torment and chaos. But, the art of necromancy had stayed in the world of Elderon, for any magic that enters Elderon, it cannot be returned to the realm of the Titans or the Abyss in a pure state. Meaning that any magical power that is still in the form an energy cannot be returned. Unless trapped inside a powerful stone.

    Stone of Creation
The Stone of Creation is a powerful stone which contains the powers of different fallen Titans, there are 4 different powers sealed inside this powerful crystal, the Kingslayer, the Magelight, the Deathmaster, the Voidrunner and the Darkseer. But, during the dawn of time the stone was used primarily to create Elderon along with its inhabitants. During the War of the Divines, which a huge civil war between the Titans, Maraval had lost Tyramonde and Archanus, the creators of the living creatures on Elderon and had slain Jora'ach, Var'el's corrupted brother and imprisoned Ka'al Mor inside Elderon's moon, Soranus. Maraval then took all of the fallen Titans' powers as well as Ka'al Mor's powers and sealed it within the Stone of Creation. The Voidrunner came from Tyramonde, the Kingslayer came from Archanus, the Deathmaster came from Jora'ach while the Magelight and Darkseer came from Ka'al Mor.

Default Wings of Elderon Lore pt.2

    Professions of War

Since the creation of Elderon, war and other things had always existed since the very beginning. Just like other fantasy RPs, we have classes or Professions. There are many different Professions in the world of Elderon. So let's take a look at them shall we?

The Wardens traced their foundation back during the First Age or the Cataclysm. The Wardens first served as guardians to the Well of Souls before becoming a Profession. The Wardens are the predecessors to the current-day Templar Profession. Now being regarded as one of the Old Professions, Wardens are rare to be seen. Clad in silver armor, the Warden symbolizes strength and unity between brothers in arms. Serving as the men of the frontlines of the Old Days, Wardens are the first known users of the Radiant Light and the Dark Void.

Warlocks are the wizards of Elderon. Existed right after the Wardens and is one of the Old Professions, Warlocks are known to channel the very essence of the Radiant or the Dark. Female Warlocks often served the Wardens as healers or conjurers. Now, Warlocks can be seen acting beside Templars and Paladins in battles.

Machinists are people that are specialised in machinery and gadgetry. The Profession originated from the advanced country of Lumeria where firearms were already invented. Machinist are also known to be the inventors of Alephs, a four-legged steam-powered walking cannon piloted by 2 men. But are susceptible to fire. Machinist usually serve as a support in battles alongside Templars and the occasional Wardens. Machinist are also said to discover the existence of Tyrania, a crystal that powers the Alephs.

Nuns may also serve as a Paladin or a Templar. Nuns are basically battle clerics. They can heal their comrades, make enemies fear them or do both. If they serve their kingdom as a Paladin Nun, they will receive the Seal of Honor though the Vigil Ritual, which grants them the ability to detect the traitors and the undead. If they serve as a Templaric Nun, they will receive a Band of Noblemen through the enrollment process. This allows them to make all undead fear them. However, this is only for females.

Default Wings of Elderon Lore pt.3

    How Wizards Came To Elderon

Right after the creation of Elderon, Maraval created a race of angelic beings known as the Valurians and they have white wings to symbolize the Titan's purity. They first act as guardians of Great Gate of Sanctuary and warriors of faith, justice, nobility, honour, basically everything good in this world. Led by Varan Sidonus, one of 3 Maraval's lieutenants, Sidonus is the first to arrive on Elderon and gave the humans, elves and even orcs the access to magic, while he lived all humans, elves and orcs can use magic. The first humans, elves and orcs who finally learnt magic became the Elderon's first magic users. The humans were called Wizards, elves were named as Magi and orc users were called Warlocks.

Varan Morginus, another one of Maraval's lieutenants grow jealous of Sidonus' achievements on the mortal world. He tried to teach other races such as the Draconis to bear magic but failed. He tried over and over again but failed as manyntimes he tried. Until he was driven mad and he rebelled against the Valurian Council with a large number of corrupted men, elves, orcs and humans. But he do not know that he is a Valurian of Corruption, meant to bring balance between corruption and loyalty. He battled against the might of the Council and later banished in the Void but his corrupted army were banished into the deepest depths of the Abyss.

Varan Sidonus was killed during the rebellion and his death caused all humans, elves and orcs to have a difficulty in learning magic until Maraval's third lieutenant takes his place, Varan Dyanna. She created a realm with the help of Maraval himself, made of pure magic, either the magic of the Radiant Light or the Dark Void. And the realm had a large tree in the middle, the home of a large phoenix guarding that realm. The realm was called Nidra, the Realm of Magic.

Default Wings of Elderon Lore pt.4

    Sanctuary and the Abyss

Sanctuary is the home to the Titans and it is guarded by the Valurians, a race of angelic beings created to guard the Gates and fight against the forces of the Abyss. It is also known to be the place for honorable souls to live in. Unlike the Abyss, Sanctuary is ruled by the eight remaining Titans. It existed before the creation of Elderon and its inhabitants, and some even say that Sanctuary was created within the Dark Void and by its light, comes the power of the Radiant, but that is not true (refer post 5, in progress)

The Abyss, a realm of fire and blood. A home to all demons, fiends and corrupted Draconi. The Abyss was a realm created only for those who are evil. Guarded by the Serpent of Flames Rhogar, the Abyss is a terrifying place to be. Normal humans, elves or even orcs cannot withstand its tremendous pressure, once inside, its pressure will crush your soul. Only a few, managed to survive in the realm. However, to survive one must have a pure heart.

The Radiant Light and the Dark Void
Not much is known about the power of the Radiant Light or even the Dark Void. But one thing's for sure, the Light and the Dark is the magic energy that existed even before the creation of Nidra, and even the world itself. Some say the Light and the Dark are the remnants of two powerful gods that existed before the Titans but this is has become a speculation. Theories had been made since the discovery of these powers. According to the Codex of Knowledge written by the High Men, Elves and maybe dwarves, the Radiant Light are stars, and these stars are the splintered soul of a powerful god known as Illuvar, the god of light. And the Dark Void are nothing but a space of nothingness, fueled by emotions of the inhabitants of Elderon. And these emotions becomes the Dark energy they know today. But still, it is just a theory.
