Okay so, I got excited reading the IC so screw it, I'm jumping in now.
I watched the alien autopsy video so many times as a wee nerd that I'm going to do a Scully type medical examiner character.
I'll get the CS up once I hash out the details.
And cut me up some people/aliens....or are they just props? OoooOooo

Name: Johanna Wainwright

Occupation: WAC Sergeant, Airplane Mechanic

Brief History:

Father Axel was a mechanic working for Messerschmitt (producing sport and mail planes) when Hitler came into power. Concerned, he decided to take his family to America. However, he needed an American sponsor - and found one, in Howard Hughes, who had just opened his own airplane company in Glendale, California and was curious about German production methods. They received an immigration visa in 1935 and managed to make it to California.

Johanna was 11.

In 1942, following the attacks on Pearl Harbor, Johanna joined the WAAC and was originally assigned a position as a driver. Within the year, however, as more positions opened up, she managed to transition over to airplane mechanic school, and was eventually assigned to the Army Air Corps flying school at Roswell Army Air Field. Her job was to keep the training planes flying, working her way from the Kansans, Beechraft, Vultees, Cessnas, up to the Boeing B-29s.

Some of the pilot-trainees, learning she was German, became outright hostile, but she mostly ignored their abuse. A few tried to pick her up, but she said she had no time for transient trainees or kids. Nor did she have much to do with the POW camp, as she felt they were the ones responsible for ruining Germany.

Following the war, Joanna hoped to transition to Kwajalein Islands, but was left to maintain the squadrons staying behind.

Personality:

Very adaptable and open to new experiences; conscientious worker, a bit introverted which she tries to hide by being somewhat brash and stand-offish to people she doesn't know, but usually even-tempered.

This woman reminds you of a clever fox. She has beady eyes the color of obsidian. Her fine, straight, neck-length hair is the color of the sun, and is worn in a short, pageboy style. She is very tall and has an angular, wiry build. Her skin is deeply-tanned. She has knobby ears and large hands. Her wardrobe is strange and complicated, with a mostly black color scheme.

As I see it, at some point you're going to need a mechanic to help salvage stuff. And WACs did work as drivers and airplane mechanics. As the sergeant, she has the key to the truck. Used mostly for salvaging those planes that didn't make it back to the field.

Name: Georgia (George) Rose McClaire, M.D

Age: 28

Occupation: Medical Examiner, New York Department of Forensics

Spoiler: Brief History: 

Georgia was raised in a small town in Alabama, the only daughter of the town physician. She spent her childhood in her father's office, later aiding in his treatments and procedures. Despite living in the conservative south, her father felt she deserved a chance at a real career as a licensed physician, hoping she would one day take over his business. She was accepted into a pre-med program shortly after high school and soon pushed her way into Harvard Medical, fighting tooth and nail against the still prevalent sexism of the time.
She became a distinguished and imaginative student.
At the beginnings of WW2, as more men left school to join the armed forces, her education became more useful. She was singled out by several military personnel with ties to the college and offered the opportunity to finish internships and credits by working in military hospitals overseas.
Georgia jumped at the chance, and left for France around the end of the war. However, near the end is when the results of new attempted technological warfare began to rear its failed and ugly head.
Georgia found herself more and more in the presence of odd symptoms, horrible outcomes, and failed experiments. Her discretion, success rate, and unorthodox methods of treatment for these poor souls were recognized, and she was granted access to the military's confidential knowledge base.
George became a civilian asset to the military.
Shortly after the war, she graduated with honors but could not bring herself to return to a sleepy, quiet, empty town. Not after the excitement, horror, and fear of the war.
Filled with secrets and the memories of death, Georgia was offered a position with the NY Department of Forensics. Here, she could serve a purpose while being monitored by the powers that be, as precaution, in case her lips became loose with tales, or if the government should ever again have need of her......

Personality: Georgia is serious when it comes to her work. In her element, she is focused, clever, and hard working. Her outside personality is a deep contrast, shes playful, dry witted, clingy and often seen as immature. Shes the unsuspected genius. She enjoys science fiction radio programs, novels, and going to the movies. She is not much of a dancer but enjoys the newest in Big Band Swing music and the rising popularity of Jazz.

Georgia is 5' 3' and of average build. Her small stature combined with young face, and personality makes her appear much younger than she is.
Despite the still strict dress code for women of the time, George prefers overalls or trousers and mens shoes when working. It allows for less distraction and more comfort.
In her off hours, she wears simple yet well tailored dresses of neutral colors with little embellishment.

Possessions of importance to the roleplay: Georgia has a traveling medical bag of average equipment relevant to the time. When traveling, she brings only items of need, besides a collection of the most recent medical journals and several paperback novels of scifi. When out, she will carry a small purse with women's essentials.
