Bangers - Due to the nature of not having munitorium support, not every vehicle can have a full compliment of weapons, or at least as much ammunition as available. The Frateris supplements many of their vehicles with these. Essentally, they are similar to hunting lances, but with a smaller explosive charge, making them throwable, similar to javelins. This makes them less effective, but also more flexible tactically

A name for a broad spectrum of vehicles. It is essentially a ground vehicle repurposed by the Frateris to fit various ombat roles. It has armor aded onto the vehicle, an mounts a heavy weapon of sorts. This can be: Heavy Stubber, Heavy Bolter, Heavy Flamer, Multi-Melta, Missile Launcher, Autocnnon, Lascannon, or Multilaser.

The vehicles are very nimble and the gunner can have some sort of armored cupola, but if it is nt made with one, it also can at as a transport for a few other Militiamen

Basically, a 'borrowed' construction vehicle with heavy armored plates welded on it. The pilot is sealed in, and there is no escape hatch of any kind, making it impossibe for them to escape, but also impossible for someone to break in. Has no ranged weaponry of any kind, but there are little peep holes for the pilot to shoot out from, if he has a pistol or rifle.

These have several applications. Most noticeably is the fact that it is moving cover, but also its dozer blade to clear rubble, barricades, and bury enemies in their own trenches. Can also drive through some buildings to create new routes of movement and attack. Its heavy armor renders it invulnerable to small arms fire, though dedicated anti-tank weapons still pose a major threat, especially considering it has no way to fight back other than ramming.

Back on Cam's lot, these were the gamekeepers of the nobility. Expert trackers and hunters, they were charged with aiding the nobles on hunts, keeping their tables stocked with game meat, and taking out poachers. when the Clarion Cal for war is sounded, either a territorial dispute, or in this case, a crusade, they fill the role of scouts, snipers, and assassins. For what is an enemy officer but prey?

Typical Armament = Sniper Rifles, CCWs, Flak Armor, Camo Cloaks. Can also swap sniper rifles for shotguns. Typically kept in squads of 3-6, lead by a veteran Hunter known as a 'Master of the Hunt'

TL; Dr refluffed crusaders who swap their sword and board for 2-handed power weapons, grenades, and shotguns

When the call for war sounds, an aspiring lord may find himself short of men at arms or peasant levies. To where does he turn? To the Landsknect. These are individual soldiers and adventurers who owe allegiance to no lord, and who sell there services for coin. Usually coming from a militia or professional background, these elite men and women take the role of shock troops, charging into the fray with blast and blade. They are expensive, but typically earn their cost back within the first engagement.

Background:

Originally a simple man, a worker, a serf on the Shrine World of Cam's Lot. He was not the most pious, nor the least. He was, however, a deeply sinful man who went so fa as to doubt The Emperor at his darkest. But when he, being attacked by thieves in the wilderness, was on death's door, he experienced a miracle. The Patron saint of the world, who's name had been long lost and was only known as 'The Lady', came to him, and told him he was her chosen, that he was to lead the faithful. He found his wounds were healed and he was filled with faith. From that day on he declared himself to serve her and the Emperor for all time.

Time passed, and he eventually rose to his current rank. Now he's our Father. Hearing about what is happening at Adrantis, he called a crusade and many answered.

As part of the sanctioning process, she was sterilized. However, she still had maternal instinct an still wanted children. As part of her duties, she oversaw the are of Orphans at the shrine. It was there she met the twins, two 2 year old girls. They were so beautiful, so pure, so innocent, and she bonded with them instantly. She loved them so much, and wanted them to be that way forever, so she had them made into her personal Cherubim.

The first is a Crusader-type named Artoria dressed in shining armor adorned with purity seals and with a keen blade and mighty (but small) shield.

The Second is a Focus type she uses as a psychic familiar named Merlynne, dressed in beautiful robes with a celestial pattern and pointed hat and carrying a small staff made of psychically-conductive and rune inscribed wood.

Both in and out of combat she dotes on them like a real mother.

She also has the appropriate neural controller implant.


Background: Compared to many others with psychic powers, her story is rather an odd one. Normally, if someone manifests psychic powers on a shrine world, they'd be expected to die. And Cam's Lot is no different, unless they are female. The Local Cult views Female Psykers as being incarnations of the saint, especially if they are powerful like Gwendolyn is.

After being sanctioned, she was returned to her homeworld to serve as a priestess at the shrine there. When the Crusade was called, she followed to join the Army of the Faithful. Now she's gonna come and set those sinners free.

Regiment Name: The Blades of Retribution (Frateris Militia)

Rework please. The frateris militia are not a standing force, and so don’t have the training necessary to operate tanks, artillery and aircraft. Every mention in the background describes them as brave but untrained volunteers who are generally less well equipped than PDF or Guard units.

Also, while a volunteer mob that some crazy cardinal has decided to blow Guard-grade gear on is actually quite interesting as a concept, there’s no way they’d be able to source carapace and power weapons for every man.

So if the Frateris Militia is all just well-mening volunteers...then where do Crusaders come from?

Oh I see, I looked it up. What SHould I call it if they are Crusaders, and various Knightly Orders (The Shrine world is a Technologically advanced Feudal-theme world based on Arthurian England/Bretonnia in Space), and their non-noble men at arms.

If you want some high and mighty well equipped regiment, just bring some Vostroyans, or the retainers for an actual Knightly household, it's not uncommon for Knights to bring their own ground forces, along with the pint sized Knight Armigers and their mentors, Knight Preceptors.

Also why with the one Imperial organization literally banned from having men at arms involve itself with the military? wouldn't that be direct violation of said banning of men at arms?
