The truck bumped and bobbed along the road in a manner that might make one worry they were running over smaller vehicles. Jakota seemed carefree however and just happy to be out of class with one arm holding the wheel and the other adjusting the rear view mirror downward to look at traffic below.
Haha! That fool thinks he can bumper check me? His grill can't even reach above my rubber paws! ...Huh? Whats wrong with books? ...OH ya must not know! The club is actually in the back of a book store of all places! All the local parents think there kids go there to study!
Jakota chuckled as he stopped watching the hostile drivers behind him to glance over Matilda. She had a very smart look about her that made him wonder things he normally only ever cared about when around bookworms. Glancing at his pants, he did not see any crumbs or mess, so felt relatively well presented to this sharp girl. Hearing that she actually liked the idea of a night out, he turned at the next light which made a few pedestrians around the corner jump in shock. They managed to pull up to an old family style book shop and parked in the lot just as Elizabeth was getting into the spot beside them. The dark haired and dressed up girl saw Jakota plummet to the ground with a landing that made the pavement wimper, followed shortly by Matilda crawling down the ladder behind him. She also saw the two motorcycles from earlier parked in the lot as the large native man held the door open for them with a broad smile.
Laaaaadies? ...Welcome to the Bookmark!

Matilda watched the road ahead, the ride was rather bumpy she could feel that but tried to just keep herself from bumping off the seat, she certainly wasn't early as steady on the seat as Jakota was. Hugging her bag close to her that carried her books she just watched the cars driving around, most seemed rather reckless, much more than she was used to from her original home, but then again most of the young people seemed that way judging from how things went this morning.
"A book store? That does seem like quite a good place to hide a club but I am not sure how many parents would fall for it, seeing most here are adults themselves it's quite odd to even hide that you go and party, is that some cultural thing of this area to do?" She asked him clearly being a bit too serious about the situation but she hasn't been here very long. But the fact it was a slightly secretive club made her feel a bit rebellious herself at that moment.
It wasn't long before they reached the area, watching any reckless drivers go off or even stop at that club making her wonder what these people drove like when drunk, not the safest time to be on the road. Once she started climbing off she noticed the other girl there all dressed up, she herself certainly wasn't but she didn't try thinking about it too much. Just quickly adjusting her glasses before she looked back at Jakota who kept the door open. She waited for the other girl to pass through first before she did so herself while she said: "Thank you."
Elizabeth watched the large truck come to a stop next to her, nearly feeling the earth shake as the large man jumped down causing her to just look over a surprise for a moment. She then smiled at the two and walked to the door happily passing through while she said: "Thank you, kind sir." Though her nose felt like wiggling a bit as she picked up the scent around her. He wasn't human, but the girl seemed to be, though over time she had noticed quite a few people seem to hold wolfish origins here which in the beginning easily made her skin crawl, just cause she was not nearly as strong beast wise, not even as big, she was a cat out of all things. But with no happening attacks of people chasing her around, she started to not mind it much. The first thing she did was rush over to the bar area, wanting to grab herself a beer to get this night started.
Markus reached his pose and started mixing up a few drinks and opening a few beers, the club was quickly getting lively and his work just increasing. Though it was something he enjoyed and it even helped him train his abilities over water without others even realizing it. He remained expressionless as he only nodded at incoming orders and quickly fulfilling them.

While Jakota was being his usual subtle-as-an-avalanche self, the keen minded girl followed after the keen sensed girl as they looked about a dimly lit old book shop. It was definitely one of the most antiquated looking shops in town, but the regal and ornate wooden book cases were kept dust free at least. There seemed to be almost no one actually interested in the books up front and the figure behind the desk seemed fine with that. She leaned back with her black belted boots kicked up on the counter as pale hands in a red jacket held a large tome in front of her face. Most guests just wandered past her with a polite silence or perhaps a little wave and nod to the owner of this dual-business.
Hey Darcy, got some new girls in town! Cya in the back!
Jakota said as one of the slender hands paused turning a page to lift up a thumb at him. One very ripe smelling stoner wandered in after them, also new, and also hearing about a secret club to crash. He paused at the counter trying to get a look at the legs rising up from under the grey skirt at the desk and put on his best impression of a sober man, saying "Hey babe, whats yer si~ign?" loudly. This made the book lower as a pair of grey eyes shrouded in goth makeup glared up at him from behind heavy glasses, followed by a small lead heavy voice like a bullet.
. . . Beware of Dog!
Markus was having better luck inside the club hidden behind the doors in the back of the aisle marked Adult Literature where the real action was. The dance floor was a storm of neon spotlights and people dancing in the middle of a ring of black curtained booths. The wide curving bar he stood at had a backlit shelf of bottles spanning the wall as two figures walked up to get there first drinks for the night.
-
Matilda glanced around the shop with clear administration, she loved books, and one that seemed this vintage was quite amazing. Though she didn't want to seem too odd in front of the others so tried sticking to following behind the black-haired lady that seemed to know just where she wanted to be. Matilda paused only for a second to look at the librarian that sat on the other side, wondering if she also had the same passion for books, though her awkwardness when it came to talking caused her to just give a friendly smile and a wave. Elizabeth also gave a more enthusiastic wave as she said: "Hello there!" Then she proceeded on to get to the party area, just wanting to get a drink and start the night. She walked off to the back having a basic idea of where the club area was since the rumors and asking around made it quite obvious. Opening the door and seeing the neon lights dancing while others were gathered around enjoying their drinks and dancing around. "Now this is fun!" She said with a cheerful chirp in her voice as she hurried down to the bar area.
Matilda was not as fast as Elizabeth, though she also didn't know the girl at that time so didn't say much. She had noticed some guy trying his luck with the librarian that was called Dancy. Only to have some strange words spoken. But she didn't think about it too much and instead looked at Jakota saying: "So, all the students come here at night? Every night?" She wondered how many studied if that was the case, though she shouldn't think too much on that, she knew the reason her parents send her here was that she was too buried in her studies. Her eyes glanced over the available books before she managed to reach the door that the other girl had already passed through. She opened it a bit and glanced inside before she entered and just stood out of the way for others to do the same. Just starting at the room quietly.
Markus greeted those that came with a nod and the most words he would speak was just asking them what they would like to drink for the night. Once the two came over to get their drinks he just did his usual nod and said: "What would you like tonight?" Not long after Elizabeth also came rushing over and grinned as she sat down on one of the seats and said: "Some beer over here please! When you are done!"

Once Jakota managed to duck through the door into the club, he made way for the line up behind him as Matilda wisely avoided the shop owner during her business hours. The new guy, utterly harshed off his buzz just hurried inside to find a booth to hide in while Elizabeth rushed the bar like she was preparing to jump over it. The dark haired girl had to work around the pair standing in front of Markus to make her order. The tall blonde in a black biker jacket turned his head towards her, which hid the markings on the back of his neck. The other was a slender native girl with tattoos running freely across her exposed collar and arms. Spotting them, Jakota made his way over, looking back to Matilda.
What? Oh every weekend for sure! No way that your gonna keep hundreds of college kids away from parties after surviving a week at class! What do you like to drink? Ill have my cousin pay!
Jak joked as he walked up to the couple at the bar. The blue eyed man took his drink from the new bartender with a nod and held it in his fingerless gloves giving a keen sniff. Elizabeth noticed this group almost entirely had a musky primal scent to them as the tattooed woman gave her a side gaze in return. The carefully dressed girl could hide her appearance, but hiding from other beings keen senses was going to be a greater challenge. The native girl did not make any remarks however as her large cousin drew her attention away with his usual party animal attitude barreling through all other concerns.
Hey Juda, this new girl needs to meet the gang! She has never even been to the Bookmark before, let alone any of the crazy sororities around town! Oh, and this is my cousin Kasa, who looks like she is impatient to start drinking.
Right Jak, as if you ever stop between drinks... Just ask Darcy's new hire here to add it to your tab if you are going to try shaking up things with new people. Whats your name bro?
Juda asked looking over his padded shoulder at Markus while they were all getting to know one another. The towering biker was likely the first one to even think to ask the bartender about himself since applying to work here. It took years to finally break her, but the group convinced Darcy to stop trying to run a bookstore, nightclub, and go to school all at once. That was to say nothing of the more unbelievable things that interfered with students in this town.

Matilda glanced around and then over at Jakota before giving a small nod while she said: "I see... Oh, it's alright, I do take my wallet with me so I can get myself one, I would hate to be a burden." She gave a small smile and slowly followed him over to his friend group it seemed, slash family as he called one his cousin. She lets go of her bag just letting it hang next to her while she said: "Hello, I am Matilda, nice to meet you." She was certainly way out of her place, usually only at home or work, perhaps even at a library but at a club, that wasn't quite normal for her.
Elizabeth had realized she found herself next to an entire pack of more wolf-like beings, though she didn't need to worry too much, seeing no one could do much in a public area like this. She just grinned as she waited for her drink while listening to what the others said next to her. Once she received her beer she happily took a sip and just sighed happily. Glancing at Matilda for a moment then said: "Just loosen up and have fun girl, nothing here can kill you." She chuckled a bit and took another sip.
Markus just made sure everyone received their drinks as he paid them little mind after that, just throwing the towel used to wipe the counter over his shoulder before he looked at Juda who was the first to even bother asking him who he was. He just glanced at them as he said: "Markus, and you might be?" Though he did hear them exchanging names earlier he just wanted to try and seem a bit more kind than he usually comes across as. Taking a few more orders of other students that came then making the drinks with quite a bit of skill.
-
While Markus was busy helping the other students, Jakota was waiting patiently for his turn. He usually waited until there seemed to be no immediate interest in the bar as his orders were quite something to work on each time. The large man itched his shorn head next to the mohawk plopped over his face watching his cousin Kasa take shots. Juda was not interested in the drinking race any more at this moment, more intrigued that the goth owner managed to find herself some actual help.
This stuff tastes nice and sharp Markus! I will be your garage assistant instructor, Juda, if you ever take mechanics classes at the campus. I can give some great pointers on bikes if you wanna show me how to mix this some time.
The tall blonde said shaking his drink ice. The little clinking cubes evaporated instantly along with the liquid in his drink however as well as Kasa's remaining shot. She kept her lips open hoping it would land but opened her eyes baffled and irritated. Arching a slender brow, she turned around towards Matilda while Elizabeth was also coming to the conclusion that her drink was suddenly gone. The short brunette soon realized however that Kasa was not eyeing her suspiciously, but a bush of read hair that was peeping out from one of the booths and quickly ducked out of sight.
-
Markus remained working on the drinks and then looked at Juda while he said: "I wouldn't mind, mixology does take some arm strength in a new way so just be prepared for it." Shaking up things could take a few minutes sometimes if he was interested in slightly advanced drinks. He threw a few different types of liquids in a holder before shaking it up for one of the others there. Once it was poured he handed it over and then looked at Kasa saying: "Need more?" He looked at the larger man wondering if he also planned on ordering something though he didn't have time to constantly ask everyone that stood there and just waited mostly for them to come over or wave a hand.
Matilda listened to them and soon she smiled as she decided to get herself some soda. Not feeling confident enough to drink alcohol. She sat down on one of the seats there while she got her bag on her lap and glanced around carefully. Elizabeth just shook her head as her first beer finished then quickly ordered another before she looked at Matilda and said: "Alright Matilda right? Tonight I am honestly teaching you to party better, that's just sad." She laughed a bit while Matilda just frowned and said: "Wait who are you?" "Oh, the name is Elizabeth!" Elizabeth just said and chuckled. Not long after she noticed the red hair ducking off and just tilted her head wondering who was there.
-
I think I can handle that after working on engines all day. Hey, these drinks seem extra dry tonight bud, got any more back there?
Juda asked holding his empty glass up to the counter for a refill as Matilda sat down. The first sip of her soda was bubbly and chilly after such a warm day, but the second one was hollow as she found the newly opened can empty a moment after. When Markus was able to refill the glass, Juda held it up for a second try at the bartender's recipe, only to watch the mixer become a glass of vapor. Kasa glanced between Matilda and Elizabeth who found her refill empty as swiftly as her first and quickly came to the decision that they were not behind this either.
Nice to meet you Matilda, and your dress is certainly made for partying Liz ...Pardon me ladies, I'll be right back!
The dark beauty said marching away from the group and leaning into the curtained booth off by the wall. Elizabeth's keen ears heard her from a distance, even with the annoyingly loud music thumping all around them. The native woman demanded of the person inside that she knock off the prank, and a shaky reply inside told her that it was a mistake and she was trying to undo it.
-
Markus started mixing again while he raised a brow at Juda, engines were heavier, he knew that, but shaking something small constantly worked on other muscles completely. "Mhm, that will help you a bit." He said and then frowned noticing everyone was busy running out of drinks faster than expected. He got him some more and said: "Strange." He then noticed the liquids evaporating rather quickly so just frowned more getting annoyed, someone was causing trouble. Though before he started looking for the troublemaker, he noticed that the tall woman walking of to a specific area, perhaps she knew who was behind it all. Though someone using their magic so carelessly was strange, he usually only hide his by using it in secret or a none obvious way.
Elizabeth smiled and gave a nod at the girl named Kasa, she frowned at her drink and just ordered another quickly while she said: "What on earth is it with tonight... Let me drink." She sighed and heard Kasa scolding someone in the distance, so some magic was at play? That was annoying the cat quite a bit but she just remained smiling while she said: "Well see you ran out, time to get you something real."
Matilda looked at her drink in surprise and then she looked at the others while she listened to them. Soon she just sighed as Elizabeth said she was going to get her something better than cola. But she just tried not to think too much about it and try loosening up and have fun with these new people. She looked at Jakota and asked: "Aren't you going to get yourself something to drink?" She smiled at him for a moment then glanced over at Kasa who had walked off somewhere.
