Oh that would be cool! I don't know how to do that. o.o But I have a book full of how-to pictures. We could have a contest on who can follow the directions best?

This is not the perfect example of my technique. This is more like the perfect exampleof being lazy and getting a little lucky with the sizes.

I always se an H2 to start with and just let my pencil go wild till I get something close to what I want.

Shading is everyhitng to me since I suck at it. So I mostly do my large pictures so I can focus on the shading. Okay so the picture is kinda huge. Used sheezy art for the final picture...sorry.

Well the directions thing is really simple.
You do a picture and through every phase of the picture you stop what you're doing take a picture then move one to the next phase.

On the first page there's a list of other people's guides.
Mine sucks.

Well a competition would be interesting.

Okay, just finished one! SO this is far from my best drawing... I just really wanted to post this and I'd been wanting to draw something like this for a while. SO I guess this is my how to on how to draw a girl with really messy curly hair? Her eyes are really weird so I'm just gonna say she's an elf or something. The pictures are pretty big, sorry about that. I took them in bad light with my phone... They're also kind of smudgy, my pencil drawings tend to be that way.

Spoiler: More outlining, shoulders, little bit of shading. Also pupils and color in the eyes 

Spoiler: Finished! Added lots more curls, way more outlining, shading on the shirt, moved her nose down about half an inch, erased some lines 

Soooo not the best. I think I might do a part two where I pen the sketch and then add colors. Nevermind I'll do that now.

Spoiler: Outlined with red, started filling in with brownish red

Spoiler: Filled in the hair with a lighter brown, touched up more deeply with the normal brown. Eye and skin base 

Spoiler: Lip color, some shading, blush, freckles 

Spoiler: Finished! Colored the shirt to match her eyes, outlined more of her hair, and added faint lines to give the hair more feeling of direction 

So it turned out better than expected! What do you think?

YES!! that's brilliant.
I love this sketch design. You are clear a good writer your drawings start out way more complex than me. I start with stick figures and circles. With yours you can already see an idea of what's supposed to be there.

Question do you ever change your mind? Mid drawing? Because I do it all the time, the drawings in my head were rarely the end drawing lol.
