Veins of Black and Silver: A Werewolf Roleplay
Werewolves have lived among people for hundreds of years, hiding from those that wish to hurt them. Among the werewolves, people have begun to separate into two groups, the Black Bloods and the Silver Bloods. The Silver Bloods are your average werewolf. They can shift when they wish, but are forced to shift nightly, and on the full moon, they struggle to remain in control of their canine counterparts. They know a bit of magic. They live alone in the woods in a pack, keeping each other safe from harm-and harming others. The Black Bloods are a bit different. Rather than shifting into wolves, they shift into dogs. Like the Silver Bloods, they transform every night, including the full moon. They however, being dogs and not feral wolves, can keep control of their canine form. They live in the town nearby, and most are teenagers and young adults, going to the college the town was built around. Neither group particularly likes the other, but they come together to keep their kind safe, however hard it may be. And now, more than ever, they may be forced to work together. A disease is spreading, taking over the minds of the werewolves, turning them rabid and bloodthirsty, and it only affects them. It’s spreading fast and the werewolves are beginning to worry they may be outed to society-something that no one wants to happen.

Moon Sickness •
Moon Sickness is the virus that is spreading from werewolf to werewolf, turning them into mindless monsters. It starts slow, making the person feverish and have other flu like symptoms. Slowly it becomes harder and harder to control shifting and keeping control while shifted, as well as worsening flu symptoms. The inability to talk properly comes next, stuttering and forgetting grammar and words, and memory gets worse too. The infected individual may become distant or aggressive and is constantly confused. From here, everything spirals until the werewolf loses control completely, attacking even those they love. And it’s just as severe in Black Bloods. Symptoms can get worse from there, leading to loss of the senses and slowly to seizures and even death. The mark of the infected is the slow spread of blackened veins running slowly from their fingers to their elbows to their shoulders, and finally their heart. If it gets that far, the individual will die. Moon Sickness is spread mostly through blood, so through attacks, bites from one of who has begun to cough blood, etc.
