Occasionally glancing up at the window that led to the classroom, Ayama had to repel the impulse to go to the classroom. I really need to take a break, she reminded herself. Shaking her head, she continued walking through the forest aimlessly. She had no purpose or any specific destination. She just wanted to walk. Realizing she probably wouldn't be encountering any interaction, she relaxed. She tensed when she heard a thin trill, and looked up into the tree which was the source of the noise. Seeing that the noise had been a bird calling amongst its peers, Ayama couldn't help but smile. Closing her eyes, she whispered, "Shadow's Song." Suddenly, mysterious yet beautiful music filled the forest. It held both anguish and joy, the tune becoming unexplainable and undecipherable. The songs of the shadows, how beautiful, thought the girl in glee. Shadow's Song was a spell her mother had taught. It would calm the listener and help them to relax, and depending on the user's purpose, could either help put whoever was listening to sleep or could help them regain their memories. Ayama was a wizard of all elements, but darkness and holiness were her favorites. Shadow's Song was an example of a darkness spell.
