Overview
Of his own invention (or so he says), the Utility Cane* combines everything a gentleman would wish for in such an accessory without compromising on aesthetics or build quality.
Fashioned from high quality materials such as Ironwood, Duri-metal and Unobtanium, this stylish device contains a plethora of delightful and extravagant devices of steam and mechanical nature that are sure to surprise and astound your arch-nemesis! These include:
-
Damascian Blade*
At the flick of a button, the lower 18/20ths of the cane retract back to near the handle, revealing a devilishly sharp and durable Damascian Blade*. Straight edged, the sword tapers backwards into a point like an elegant Stanley-knife. The blade was produced and sharpened by orphan children in a workhouse somewhere north of Chichester, who were only fed when it was deemed perfect.

-
Electrometric Disabler*
At the flick of an entirely different button, a Tesla-coil extends back up from the end of the cane and encircles the shaft thrice-round, an inch between each circle. Utilising the naturally occurring geomagnetic static charge in the air, the coil begins to charge, building up a surmountable charge in moments. With a simple prod of the Utility Cane* into the opposing man or small animal, the Electrometric Disabler* may temporarily stun or knock-back an opponent, leaving a distasteful odour of ozone.
> Device takes 1 turn to charge and 1 turn to fire, losing the charge
> Due to several slight design oversights, the amount of charge dispersed by the device is inconsistent, ranging to anything from a small jolt to something akin to an electrically charged steam engine or perhaps just a disappointing fizzling noise

Telesco-pneumatic Oculator*
When activated, the end of the cane unfolds into a compact telescope. Handy for scouting scenery, birdwatching or for spying on the dastardly French!
> It's a telescope, nothing too fancy

Spring-loaded Reflectoriser
With a tap of the Utility Cane*, a small personal mirror made from interlocking slats of thin polished metal is projected from the side of the handle, giving the user an unprecedented view of their own appearance.
> It's a mirror, it reflects light
> Its use is risky as Darius can easily become distracted by his own appearance, leaving him open to ridicule and/or attack
