I'm deciding whether or not if I want another character. On one hand, it'll be easier to write longer, more in-depth posts, but on the other hand I don't want to detract from anyone else.

If I did go with another character, I've been thinking about Sun Wukong and the monkeys of Mount Huaguo.

Hmm he'll be in the same boat as Hercules and Gilgamesh for restrictions and debuffs. Also from what I know he is actually a God not a Demigod.

Oh, I meant one of his followers, one of the monkeys, not himself. He keeps a palace on the mountain, where the monkeys live and train. It'd probably be one of them, a monk.

Ah ok that could be interesting then. I might make a Spartan style hero of some kind myself if we need the numbers. I learned an interesting philosophical sect called the Stoics that swear oaths of silence to gain enlightenment and endure great pains and hardships without complaining or showing emotion.

That could make an interesting combo with Serika, depending on which deity you had in mind for your hero. Hades may not have interacted much with other Olympians (to such an extent that he’s sometimes not considered an Olympian at all despite being from the same bloodline as them), but by all accounts he was pretty civil toward them and is even cited as being on relatively friendly terms with some of them (e.g. Ares and occasionally Hermes). Or conversely, I could name at least one Olympian (*COUGH*Demeter*COUGH*) who might be on not-so-friendly terms with him. Either way, the resulting connections could carry over to Hades and Persephone’s children (Melinoë included) and the respective followers of everyone involved to different degrees.

I got ideas for either Harpocrates, the God of Silence or Horkos, the Personified Curse by breaking Oaths.

Will either be a Follower or maybe a Demigod in the same vein of lineage as Melinoë.

I’m happy to report that, thanks to Siks’ invaluable help and input, I now have a clear concept in mind for Serika’s backstory. Without spoiling too much, we did end up deciding on some slight tweaking of one particular myth, but nothing too major.
