Deadpool 2 - 8 out of 10 - felt a tad predictable, and I kinda guessed the ending. Still enjoyed it though.
Life of the Party--8/10. It was really funny--I even snorted! Perhaps I can relate to this movie too much---definitely a chick flick.
The Magdalene Sisters.
7/10.
Interesting to watch, if not rather bleak. It’s based on a true story about young Irish women who were forced to work in ‘laundries’ for no wages, for an indefinite period of time. They were girls who either got pregnant out of wedlock or had sex before marriage. They suffered physical and mental abuse for being ‘sinners’ and essentially were treated as whores and outcasts by society (from the late 1700s until 1996, when the Irish government forced the church to stop this practice).

Hereditary: 8/10
One of the best horror films I have seen in years. While most films in this genre heavily rely on "jumpscares" to try and strike fear into their audiences (Believe me, the effect of a "jumpscare" does not last long at all.), this film hits you on a far more psychological level. It's been a week since I've seen this in the cinema and I still get nervous looking down a dark corridor at night. The cinematography for this film is brilliant, and the characters are acted superbly. Again, unlike most horror films, there is some solid character development in this film and it actually makes an effort to make you care about the characters. In this respect, the horrors that these characters go through becomes far more real. Having more of a sense of empathy is somewhat of a requirement for this. It plays with themes of loss, depression, etc, so it kinda helps if you can relate more to these kinds of feelings.
Unfortunately, I kinda felt like the ending was rather cheaply done. I liked the twist at the end, but certain parts kinda felt like they were portrayed a bit more like a comedy. That was only a minor let-down to an otherwise amazing film though.
