Mystics IV: Reincarnate

Many years have past since the defeat of Azeal and the restoration of the planet. Not many remember the lives lost that fateful day, but those who were there, and their offspring remember it like it was yesterday. Destruction, chaos, it was real, and yet now the world was at peace. There was no wars currently and the closest thing to evil were criminals facing justice from the law enforcers. The Combined World Defense Unit is what the “police” were called. They ensured protection for all citizens of various worlds, and Earth was it’s newest addition. It came as a shock to most to find out that their were alien worlds similar to our own, but the Universe is vast, who knows what else it holds.
Days go by, and weeks add on as the current Mystics grow older and older. Their children no longer children but adults and with children of their own. Time flies when there is no evil to combat, or so you think. Time has a way of healing, it has a way of reminding someone just what they left behind. It allows access to the past, the present and the future. Evil never dies, but good never quits. Will that be the case when an ancient evil thought long gone returns? Who will stop this evil now that the Mystics have slowly assimilated into present life, leaving the old behind?
Life is blossoming, it is growing, it is thriving. There is beauty in everything around the planet. Though unable to access other worlds just yet, technology is evolving on Earth and soon that will be a possibility. Trade would ensure and Earth would become a part of the United Alliance. Everything that looks good on the surface,, may not be at a closer glance.
When evil returns, there has to be someone who will stand up and make the ultimate sacrifice. There is darkness on the horizon. The populace unaware of the impending threat. It isn’t a natural force, but something sinister, something darker than those previously defeated servants of darkness. Auro, a master of the voodoo arts has survived after the crushing defeat of his master to the Mystics. After which he went into a slumber, induced by a spell. The spell is beginning to fade and Auro is awakening. His evil is unlike any seen during this time of peace, but his evil is only the surface.
Who will protect the world when Auro awakens? The Mystics of old can sense the impending darkness. They are aware of what needs to be done. Their time is over, and a new band of mystics must join together to defeat the darkness. Let the story commence.

-GM word is law.
-Co-GM(s) will be assigned upon approval.
-Please treat others the way you want to be treated.
-You do not need to know about Mystics 1-III to join IV.
-If you have questions, simply ask.
-I am lenient when it comes to posting, but please try to post at least once every 3 to 4 days.
-No posting OOC in the IC thread.
-If there is an issue, discuss it in PM and make sure to include a GM to help deliberate.
-Relationships are encouraged. Drama is encouraged. It's a Mature RP, but don't go overboard.
-At least 2 paragraphs per post. Quality over Quantity.
-Understand that characters can and will get injured. There will be death in this story. Allow your character to react as realistically as possible.
-It's realistic yet fantasy as well. Properties of things are different here.
Remember the rules of RPA, and the rules of this RP are listed below.
-Respect others, but most of all respect yourself.
-I reserve the right to add or remove rules as I see fit. I am the Game Master or GM after all.
-Players gone for more than a week without notification will experience a loss in their character, meaning they'll be killed off, unless they ask for an extension.
-This RP is rated Mature for a reason, and what that means is provided you stay within the rules of RPA, you can basically be as adult as possible, but again remember the rules. If your characters start kissing, take it to PM and fade to black in the IC. Failure to do so will warrant immediate action.
-Please give quality work. I don't care much about quantity, but when you give quality work, your quantity will speak for itself.
-I want to see diversity; I want to see your imagination run wild, when it comes to this story as well as your character.
-Other races are allowed in this RP such as vampires, werewolves, elves and the like, but make sure you justify how they've remained hidden.
-Remember to enjoy, have fun, and give ideas.
