I gotta know what happened with Saskia and the rest! I'm almost tempted to ask a friend if he might have a few hints, he was a lead quest designer for the Witcher 3 but left CD Projekt RED after it was done, so I don't know if he'd know anything about the DLC anyway. But I am hyped for Blood and Wine!

Agreed. That storyline was left dangling. There was no consequences to freeing her or to leaving her in Phillipas control. At least with Roche's story you felt that it had firm conclusion in this game.

Don't get me wrong, I really love the third game. I just feel like everything was rushed a bit on it. I still find the first and the second to be stronger in narrative. Ignoring the quest lines of Iorveth was wrong, mainly as I think that if you played only on Roach's road you will never hear about Philipa's eyes (I didn't, I had to replay the second game for it, after I found out about it from the third).
I also think, since the king dies anyway and Roach is still your friend even if you go with the elves, that Iorvoth's path is the right way to go with the second game, so having him not appear at all is a total waste.
Not to mention that I still think they handles Triss rather poorly and could have put her in more major quest, like with Radenia.

I wonder if maybe I should just do Sword and Story or Blood and Broken Bones since while I could probably beat Blood and Wine on Death March I don't know if I'd enjoy it as much.

I preordered the DLCI usually am never ever one to preorder I think it's in most cases bad consumer culture but for this I made an exception
According to my PS4 the DLC unlocks in about 10 and a half hours
