Best broadway musicals

I love broadway musicals. And just musicals in general. So, everyone tell me their favorite musicals!

Personally, I love the Phantom of the Opera, and RENT.

Phantom is a classic, a long time favorite, and of course, I always root for him.

I think the plot of the original novel is a better one than the musical, but regardless, it's Erik who steals the show every time; and Act I is unforgettable between Erik and Christine, regardless of what happens after. It's a doomed love that nevertheless lives as fresh as it first happens, long after it has spiraled into resentment and separation, and it's the Angel of Music, the Phantom of the Opera, and the Music of the Night numbers that almost everyone rightly remembers.

I was always fond of the masquerade song too. The movie came out right somewhere around senior year of high school I think. Me and some friends did a joint Masquerade graduation party because of it.

I haven't seen the movie, only the play on video. I like the high notes in the Phantom of the Opera song. Also just almost every song.

Just seen a production/re-telling of Alice in wonderland by Damian albarn. Now THAT was awesome
