Welcome to Ackermann Station on Mars, located – you guessed it! On Mars! Home to over 700 million residents, Ackermann Station is a hustling bustling metropolis. People have created a life on Mars, relocating businesses and government offices to the planet, as well as facilities to help keep everyone safe. And just like with Earth, humans have a deep curiosity in fully exploring what Mars has to offer.

In fact, very recently a unique strain of bacteria has been found in one of the mines which seems to have a significant effect on living and dead creatures alike. Interestingly, rats seem to be incredibly susceptible to the bacteria. Unfortunately, one of the test rats got loose and was unable to be found.

It’s been several days since and people are pouring into the hospitals complaining of pain and irritability. Tests show a completely new strain of bacteria, and though research for a cure was queued, it is far too late now…
