My vision is blurred by tears and my fingers are shaking as I post this message. It is an announcement of the worst kind, and frankly I'm having trouble putting my thoughts into words.
Roleplay Adventures has lost one of its longest standing members in a sudden and tragic accident yesterday. \/Ģin was, for years, an active roleplayer with exciting ideas and a taste for action. He was a joker, often leaving the rest of us in stitches. He was passionate about his thoughts and opinions, never hesitating to voice what he thought was good and right. For a time he was even a member of our staff team.
What's more, Vein pretty much created and helped to power the Clans and Guilds section at its origin, and again helped with it's restart. Twice over he not only lead a clan, but dove headfirst into helping groups work together and creating activity and interest for the section.
"Real life" sometimes gets in the way of our connection to the online world, and in recent times Vein has had to stray from RPA here and there. I'm saddened that newer members probably didn't know him because of this and missed out on meeting a great guy. But Vein would often pop in and check up with those he had grown close to. A friendship with him was a real thing, and there is no doubt in my mind that he would have kept coming to this site every so often, if only just to check on those of us that he had grown close to.
Outside of RPA, he was a hard worker who cared deeply for his little family. Life and situations threw everything they could at him, and he persevered and fought for his fiance and his young daughter. And when he spoke of these two special girls, there was love obviously dripping from every word.
If you're the praying sort, I ask that you send a few words up for the love of his life, who was once known on RPA as Jade and their young, beautiful daughter. I cannot even imagine the pain they must be in because of all of this.
Vein, my heart aches at the knowledge that we will never again have one of our chats that I treasured so much. You were a friend, a co-writer, and an adviser. You were too young, and too good a person to be yanked away from us so suddenly.
